The safety of gas appliances in a tenanted property is subject to The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and landlords are obligated to ensure that such gas appliances, fittings, pipework and flues within their properties are safe for the use of their tenants. Our Gas Safe registered engineers are fully qualified to inspect, service and repair your appliances where necessary. Thereafter we are able to provide Landlord Safety Certificates. Within 12 months of the installation of new appliances or flues, it is the landlord’s responsibility to have a safety check carried out and after that annually. Each of your tenants must be issued with a copy of the Safety Certificate within 28 days of the date of the safety check and landlords are obliged to give new tenants a copy before they take up residence in rented property.
